<p>RaceJoy is designed specifically for running, cycling, and triathlon events, with a strong focus on enhancing the overall participant and spectator experience. It offers a range of features that vary depending on the event, including live phone tracking, progress alerts, race results, race information, photos, and the Send-a-Cheer feature.</p>

<p>There are two distinct experiences within RaceJoy: Featured Events and Training Days.</p>

<h2>Featured Events</h2>

<p>Featured Events are those that have partnered with RaceJoy to provide participants and spectators with a premium experience. These events offer free features provided by the event or its sponsors.</p>

<p>The features included in Featured Events are:</p>

<ul>
  <li>Live GPS phone tracking on the course map</li>
  <li>Send-a-Cheer, which allows participants to receive motivational audio clips</li>
  <li>NearMe alerts, notifying spectators and waiting relay teams when a participant is approaching</li>
  <li>MeetUp tool for locating participants on the course</li>
  <li>Automatic Progress Postings to Twitter (with the participant's approval)</li>
</ul>

<p>In addition, some events may provide the following features:</p>

<ul>
  <li>Scored Race Results available moments after crossing the finish line</li>
  <li>Essential race information such as schedules, FAQs, and race news</li>
  <li>Official race photos</li>
  <li>Optional Tracking with Progress Alerts: Some events offer BIBTAG tracking as an alternative to PhoneTrak. This eliminates the need for participants to carry their phone, as tracking is based on their BIB/chip crossing timing points on the course.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Training Days</h2>

<p>The Training Days feature allows athletes to share their live progress on a map with friends and family, who can also send motivational cheers during long training runs or rides. All the PhoneTrak features are available in Training Days, along with special motivational cheers to help athletes through challenging moments. Training Days is always available and free for use during long training sessions. Athletes must set up a special tracking ID (PIN), provide it to their friends and family, and ensure that it aligns with RaceJoy's privacy policy.</p>

<p>If you would like a particular race to offer the full featured experience, including official race progress alerts and results, please let the race director know about RaceJoy.</p>

<h2>Battery Usage</h2>

<p>RaceJoy's live phone tracking feature is only activated during the event hours. When using Training Days, athletes can turn the tracking on or off as needed. However, please be aware that GPS technology running in the background can significantly decrease battery life. If necessary, users can disable this feature under settings at any time during the event to conserve battery life.</p>
